Transportation for Single Moms

“The wheels on the bus go round and round…….all through the town.”

If that were true, making your way around Houston would be no problem at all.  However, there are many places in the Houston area without bus service at all.  In other areas, schedules and transferring make commuting almost impossible.  For single moms who must rely on public transportation, this often means an end to independent living.  There is no way to get to a job, to transport children to daycare or school or even to run errands like weekly grocery shopping.

Gracewood would like to be able to assist the moms in our care with this basic need.  To do that, we need your help.   You can be the catalyst that helps a family break the cycle of poverty and become successful, productive members of society.   The donation of a reliable used car or the offer to sell one at a low cost would provide a “hand up” to a mom seeking the means to take care of her family.
