Boxes of Love Impacts Families

Posted on Dec 6, 2010 in Met Needs, News, Testimonials |

The Get Together partnered with Priority Associates and others to provide Boxes of Love for families served by Aldine YOUTH, The Forge for Families, Generation One and Newspring this Thanksgiving. Each family received a box with a complete Thanksgiving meal and Bible delivered by caring volunteers.

Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. thanks you all for allowing us to take part in the first “Boxes of Love” program here in Houston. The whole experience was wonderful–our meeting on Saturday and the day of sharing the boxes with the families. The program we had here at the Center was amazing as the families, Scott Brown, our staff, and Pastor Joseph Rios, gathered together. The Box of Love served as a focal point, a reason for us to fellowship and praise God, and He truly was in the house!!!!! Pastor Joseph delivered a message that truly filled us with a special spiritual food we all needed.

I really appreciate all the work that Scott, Tony Mayer and everyone put into this show of love for our families in need. Thank you so much for the privilege to be a part. – Sylvia Bolling, Founder and Executive Director, Aldine YOUTH.
